How do you know if a doll is a fake?

I have seen quite a few dolls on Ebay but how do you know if they are for real or if they are a fake?

usually they have really, really big eyes and chipmunk type cheeks.

Also, most fakes on ebay have large feet, and the AG shoes don't fit. So even ones advertised as "new" often come barefoot!

And not all fakes look hideous. Actually, my fake Felicity is a pretty doll.
